Minnesota’s largest community-based non-profit mental health provider
Â
Mission: To transform the health of communities through innovative solutions. We lead our industry in providing a system of care predicated on excellence and inclusivity in behavioral health treatment, community support, and education. We accomplish this through our people, our partnerships, and our passion.

My connect: Therapy, meditation, and other mental health practices are what got me through my toughest times. Some people who need mental health services the most are unable to afford them. Through this organization, individuals and communities receive access to care that would otherwise be out of reach.Â
One of the largest and most effective animal protection organizations in the world

Mission:Â We envision a more humane world where wild animals stay wild and protected, where farm animals no longer suffer in extreme confinement, where no animals are used in lab experiments, and where companion animals are cared for throughout their lives.

My connection: We went in looking to adopt ONE older cat. We came home with TWO KITTENS. And for 18 years they brought companionship, life, chaos, and smiles to our family. Humane World for Animals (formerly The Humane Society) gave us two of life's biggest blessings.
Leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Mission:Â To advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.

My connection: When my mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, our family went through some dark days. But seeing the St. Jude's commercials allowed my mom, and by extension us, to ground herself in the gratitude that she got 60 years cancer-free while some kids got less than 6. She has raised over $20,000 for cancer research and I want to help her raise the next $20,000.

A website where US public school teachers can post requests for classroom resources.

Mission: We make it easy for anyone to help a teacher in need, moving us closer to a nation where every student in every community has the tools and experiences they need for a great education.

My connection: Having been an educator for 17 years, I know firsthand the power and opportunities knowledge brings. Every child has the right to a solid education. And no educator should have to use their own money to fund classroom projects.
